Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid made the following statement today after meeting with His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and a bipartisan group of Senators:

“His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, Leader McConnell and I had a cordial and productive discussion about the issues facing our two countries.  Jordan is a critical partner toward successful negotiation in the Middle East, and I am grateful for everything King Abdullah has done to work with Israel and the United States.  I appreciated hearing His Majesty’s insights on how to move forward in future peace negotiations, and look forward to our countries continuing to work together.”
