As you probably heard, Washington, D.C. was hit with a blizzard on Wednesday, pushing the city to its snowiest winter on record. This storm moved in just after 1.5 feet fell in the area over the previous weekend. As gale-force winds toppled trees and created white-out conditions, the federal government, airports and schools closed.
Through the closures, Senate Democrats have continued to work. Senators and staff are back at the Capitol today meeting to discuss the jobs agenda. In addition, there are several committee hearings taking place this afternoon, including Judiciary, Budget, Indian Affairs and Intelligence.
The Senate is back in session today. As always, you can follow along on C-SPAN 2 or live online at: http://www.c-span.org/.
