A New Year, a New Tone

As the Senate convened for the first time in 2012, Nevada Senator Harry Reid (D-Nevada) took to the floor calling on Democrats and Republicans to set a new congressional collegial tone: “Every matter that Congress takes up shouldn’t be a fight.”

Gridlock and obstructionism must be a marker of the past. With the new year comes new opportunities to work together, for the sake of economic recovery and job growth.
