Senate passes H.R.3626, Undetectible Firearms Act extension

This afternoon, Senator Schumer asked unanimous consent the Senate take up and pass H.R.3626, to extend the Undetectable Firearms Act of 1988 for 10 years with a Nelson-Schumer et al substitute amendment. Senator Grassley objected. The Senate then passed H.R.3626 without amendment. The bill will now be sent to the President for signature.


Now considering S.1197, National Defense Authorization Act/Executive Session at 5pm to debate Millett nomination

At 4:00pm, the Senate resumed consideration of S.1197, National Defense Authorization Act. At 5pm, the Senate will turn to Executive Session to debate the Millett nomination for up to 30 minutes equally divided.
