July 17, 2007 - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats from both the Senate and the House joined concerned citizens tonight at the Upper Senate Park in calling on Republicans to stop blocking a change of course in Iraq.

Democrats are keeping the chamber in session all night Tuesday to force Republicans to allow an up-or-down vote on the Levin-Reed Amendment to the Defense Authorization bill, which would transition the mission toward counterterrorism and training, reduce the U.S. combat presence, and launch a comprehensive diplomatic effort in the region.
