Following the prayer and pledge, the Senate will stand in recess, to then proceed as a body to the Hall of the House of Representatives under the provisions of S.Con.Res.2, for the counting of the electoral ballots.

Upon dissolution of the Joint Session, the Senate will stand adjourned until 2:00pm on Monday, January 9, 2017.

On Monday, following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of S.Con.Res.3, FY2017 budget resolution.

At 5:30pm, the Senate will vote in relation to the Paul amendment #1. Further votes on Monday are possible.
