5:30pm roll call vote today; 2:30pm vote tomorrow; State of the Union

The Senate is in a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

At 5:00pm, the Senate will enter Executive Session to consider Executive Calendar #213, the nomination of Luis Restrepo to be US Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit. There will be 30 minutes of debate equally divided prior to a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination.

As a reminder, in December cloture was filed on the motion to proceed to S.2232, Audit the Fed (Paul). That cloture vote will be tomorrow, Tuesday, January 12, at 2:30pm.

As a further reminder, tomorrow, January 12, at 9:00pm, President Obama will deliver the State of the Union address. Senators should begin gathering in the Senate Chamber at 8:20pm and proceed as a body to the Hall of the House of Representatives at 8:25pm.
