Veto Message - WOTUS
This morning, the Chair laid before the Senate the President's veto message on S.J.Res.22 (Waters Of The United States).
Senator McConnell asked unanimous consent that the veto message be considered to have been read, printed in the Record, and spread in full upon the Journal. He then asked consent that the Senate be in a period of morning business until 12:30pm with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.
As a reminder, at 2:30pm today, there will be a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.4038, American SAFE Act. If cloture is invoked it will be as if invoked at 6:00pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.
