1:45pm vote on confirmation of Strand nomination (IA district judge)
By a vote of 75-20, the Senate adopted the conference report to accompany H.R.644, Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 (Customs).
At 1:30pm, the Senate will turn to Executive Session to consider the nomination of Executive Calendar #361, the nomination of Leonard Terry Strand, of South Dakota, to be US District Judge for the Northern District of Iowa. There will be 15 minutes for debate equally divided prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination. If all time is used, the vote would begin at approximately 1:45pm.
The Senate is in a period of morning business, with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.
