By voice vote, the Senate passed S.2451, A bill to designate the area between the intersections of International Drive, Northwest and Van Ness Street, Northwest and International Drive, Northwest and International Place, Northwest in Washington, District of Columbia, as "Liu Xiaobo Plaza", and for other purposes.

Adopted S.Con.Res.31, adjournment resolution for the Senate and House.

By voice vote, the Senate confirmed the following nominations:

Cal. #153 - Sunil Sabharwal to be US Alternative Executive Director of the IMF

Cal. #148 - Azita Raji, of California, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Sweden.

Cal. #204 - Brian Egan to be Legal Adviser of the Department of State

Cal. #263 - Samuel D. Heins, of Minnesota, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Norway.

Cal. #329 - John L. Estrada, of Florida, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

Cal. #375 - Thomas A. Shannon, Jr., of Virginia, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Career Ambassador, to be an Under Secretary of State (Political Affairs).
