Senate Floor Schedule For Wednesday, February 24, 2010
Resume consideration of the House Message with respect to HR2847, with the time until 9:55am equally divided and controlled between the two Leaders or their designees. There will be up to 2 roll call votes beginning at 9:55am in relation to the following items:
Motion to Waive the applicable budget points of order with respect to the Reid amendment #3310 (Jobs); {if the points of order are waived, the Senate will immediately proceed to vote on the Motion to Concur} - Motion to Concur in the House amendment to the Senate amendment to the bill, HR2847, with the Reid substitute amendment #3310 (Jobs)
Following the votes, the Senate proceed to a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each. The Senate is now considering the House Message with respect to HR1299, which is the legislative vehicle for the Travel Promotion Act. Senator Reid moved to concur in the House amendment to the Senate amendment with an amendment and filed cloture on the motion. He then filled the amendment tree.
Under the rules, the cloture vote would occur Friday morning one hour after the Senate convenes. Senator Reid said on the floor that he would be happy to move that vote up and have it earlier. As always, that would take consent. Senators will be notified when the vote is scheduled.
