Roll Call Vote on Confirmation of Rick Perry (Energy)
1:46pm, the Senate began a 15 minute roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination of Rick Perry to be Secretary of Energy.
Rick Perry was confirmed to be Secretary of Energy by a vote of 62-37.
Immediately following this vote it is possible the Senate will vote on a motion proceed to H.J. Res. 37, Disapproving the rule submitted by the Department of Defense, the General Services Administration, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration relating to the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
