Senate passes S.524 (CARA); next vote expected as early as 1:30pm
The Senate passed S.524, as amended (CARA) by a vote of 94-1.
Today, we expect Senator Paul to make a motion to discharge the Foreign Relations Committee from further consideration of S.J.Res.31, a joint resolution relating to the disapproval of the proposed foreign military sale to the Government of Pakistan of F-16 Block 52 aircraft. There is up to 1 hour for debate equally divided on the motion to discharge. We expect Senator McConnell to table the motion to discharge.
