Senate resumes consideration of message to accompany S.764, GMO
The Senate has resumed consideration of the message to accompany S.764, the legislative vehicle for the GMO labeling bill.
As a reminder, during yesterday's session Senator McConnell moved to concur in the House amendment (Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015) to S.764 (National Sea Grant College Program Amendments Act of 2015), with an amendment, which is McConnell for Roberts amendment #3450 (GMO labeling). Senator McConnell filed cloture on the motion to concur with amendment. He then moved to refer S.764 to the Commerce Committee.
The cloture vote on the motion to concur will occur one hour after the Senate convenes tomorrow, Wednesday, March 16, unless an agreement is reached. The filing deadline for second degree amendments to amendment #3450 is 1 hour prior to the cloture vote.
