Cloture filed on committee-reported subst amendment and underlying Trafficking bill, S. 178/morning business

Senator McConnell filed cloture (again) on the committee-reported substitute amendment to S.178, trafficking, and on the underlying bill.

The filing deadline for all first-degree amendments to the committee-reported substitute and the underlying bill is 1:00pm tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18.

The cloture vote on the substitute would occur one hour after the Senate convenes on Thursday.

As a reminder, Senator McConnell also entered a motion to reconsider today's failed cloture votes and he could reconsider those at any point. We don't anticipate any roll call votes tonight.

The Senate is now in a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.
