2 roll call votes after Leader remarks (circa 9:55am), another vote later today, and forecast for next week

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will vote on passage of H.J.Res.67, disapproving the rule submitted by the Department of Labor relating to savings arrangements established by qualified State political subdivisions for non-governmental employees (municipal IRAs). That vote is expected to occur around 9:55am, depending on how long leader remarks take.

We expect that following disposition of H.J.Res.67, Senator McConnell will move to proceed to H.J.Res.43, providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the final rule submitted by Secretary of Health and Human Services relating to compliance with title X requirements by project recipients in selecting sub recipients (HHS Title X/abortion). We expect there to be a roll call vote on the motion to proceed. If the motion to proceed is agreed to, there will be up to 10 hours of debate followed by a vote on passage of the joint resolution. We are told the Republican Leader intends to yield back all of their time (5 hours). Another message will be sent when that vote is scheduled.

Next week the Senate may consider the nomination of Elaine Duke to be Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security; S.89, Delta Queen; the nomination of Neil Gorsuch to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States; and any other nominations or legislative items cleared for action or additional CRAs.
