Cloture on Lynch expected to occur no later than 11:55am

The Senate has resumed consideration of Executive Calendar #21, the nomination of Loretta Lynch, of New York, to be Attorney General. There will now be up to 2 hours for debate equally divided prior to a cloture vote on the nomination. If all time is used, the vote would begin around 11:55am. Time may be yielded back and the vote could begin earlier (we don't expect it to occur before 11:30am).

If cloture is invoked, there would then be an additional 2 hours of post-cloture debate prior to a vote on confirmation. Again, some time may be yielded back.
