Cloture filed on substitute amendment to H.R.2028, Energy and Water Appropriations
This afternoon, Senator McConnell filed cloture on substitute amendment #3801 to H.R.2028, Energy and Water Appropriations. We expect the cloture vote on the substitute amendment to occur at 5:30pm on Monday, May 9th. Another message will be sent when the vote is scheduled.
We also expect to set a filing deadline for 1st degree amendments to the substitute and underlying bill for Monday, May 9th. Another message will be sent when it is set. The filing deadline for 2nd degree amendments would be 1 hour prior to the cloture vote, if cloture is invoked. If cloture is invoked, amendments must be germane and timely filed to be considered in order post cloture.
