Vitter request to consider 5 Republican amendments to Shaheen-Portman energy efficiency bill

Senator Vitter asked unanimous consent that the Senate adopt the motion to proceed to S.2262, Energy Savings and Industrial Competitiveness Act of 2014, that the only amendments be 5 unidentified Republican amendments related to energy policy; that each amendment be subject to a 60-affirmative vote threshold, and that following the disposition of these amendments; the bill be read a third time and the Senate proceed to vote on passage of the bill, as amended, if amended (with no limitation on debate for amendments or the underlying bill).
