1pm filing deadline for first degree amendments to the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015

As a reminder, yesterday Senator McConnell filed cloture on the Corker-Cardin amendment #1140 (substitute) and H.R.1191, the legislative vehicle for the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015. As a result, the filing deadline for first degree amendments to the substitute and underlying bill is 1:00pm today. Second degree amendments must be filed one hour prior to the cloture vote. If cloture is invoked, amendments must be germane and timely filed to be considered in order post-cloture.

If your senator has an amendment, please send a signed copy of the amendment to the cloakroom so that we may file it at the desk for you. If you have already filed, there is no need to re-file.

The Senate is in a period of morning business until 10:45am with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.
