Cloture filed on MTP to Trade, 10am 2nd degree filing deadline to Iran, 10:30am cloture vote on subst to Iran

This morning, Senator McConnell renewed the motion to proceed to H.R.1314, which he intends to amend with trade related legislation, and filed cloture on the motion. Another message will be sent when that cloture vote is scheduled.

The filing deadline for second degree amendments to the substitute and underlying bill is 10:00am today. All second degree amendments to the substitute and underlying bill must be germane and timely filed to be considered in order post-cloture. If your senator has an amendment, please send a signed copy to the cloakroom prior to the deadline so that we may file it at the desk for you. If you have already filed there is no need to re-file.

As a reminder, at 10:30am today, there will be a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Corker-Cardin amendment #1140 (substitute) to H.R.1191, the legislative vehicle for the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015. If cloture is invoked, there would be up to 30 hours of post-cloture debate prior to votes on any pending and germane amendments and the substitute.
