5:30pm cloture vote on Rosen nomination (DoT) / Cloture filed on Branstad nomination (Amb to China)

The Senate is in Executive Session considering the nomination of Jeffrey A. Rosen, of Virginia, to be Deputy Secretary of Transportation. The time until 5:30pm is equally divided. At 5:30pm, there will be a cloture vote on the Rosen nomination.

After the Senate convened today, Senator McConnell filed cloture on Executive Calendar #55, the nomination of Terry Branstad, of Iowa, to be Ambassador to China.
