This afternoon, cloture was invoked on the Blunt-Murray amendment #3900 (Zika funding). Unless an agreement is reached, the post-cloture time will expire at approximately 9:40pm on Wednesday. Senators will be notified when that vote is scheduled. All time during adjournment and morning business will count post-cloture on the Blunt-Murray amendment #3900.
This evening, Senator McConnell filed cloture on Collins amendment #3896 (substitute) and H.R.2577, THUD/MilCon-VA appropriations. Unless an agreement is reached, the cloture vote on the substitute would occur one hour after the Senate convenes on Thursday, May 19.
The filing deadline for first degree amendments to the substitute and underlying bill is 1:00pm tomorrow, Wednesday, May 18. Amendments must be germane and timely filed to be considered in order if cloture is invoked.
