Objections to Hatch and Brown consents on Trade

Senator Hatch asked unanimous consent that the time until 8:00pm today be equally divided in the usual form. That upon the use or yielding back of time, the Senate proceed to vote in relation to the following amendments in the order listed:

Inhofe-Coons #1312, as further modified

Further, that no second degree amendments be in order to these amendments prior to the votes and that the Inhofe-Coons amendment #1312 be subject to a 60-affirmative vote threshold for adoption.

Further, that it be in order to offer the following first degree amendments during today's session of the Senate:

Further, I ask that no second degree amendments be in order to these amendments prior to the votes and that the following amendments be subject to a 60 affirmative vote threshold for adoption:  Inhofe-Coons #1312; Brown-Portman #1252; McCain-Shaheen #1226; and Cantwell #1248.

Finally, that it not be in order to file cloture on the Hatch substitute or underlying bill during today's session.

Senator Hatch declined to modify his request. Senator Cantwell objected to the original request.
