Roll Call Vote on McConnell amendment #1450--cloture withdrawn on motion to proceed to NDAA

The McConnell amendment #1451 was not agreed to by a vote of 42-56.

The Senate then reached an agreement to begin consideration of NDAA tomorrow. Under the agreement, cloture on the motion to proceed to the National Defense Authorization bill was vitiated. By consent, at 11:00am tomorrow, Wednesday, June 3, the Senate will proceed to the consideration of H.R.1735, and it will be in order for Senator McCain to offer amendment #1463, the text of which is identical to S.1376, the Armed Services Committee reported National Defense Authorization Act. The time until 2:30pm tomorrow will be for debate only and equally divided between the bill managers, or their designees.

At 2:07pm, the Senate began a 15 minute roll call vote on McConnell first degree to the substitute SA #1450 (12 month transition);
