Rule 14 H.R.1628, AHCA

H.R. 1628, American Health Care Act of 2017 (AHCA), which was passed on 05/04/2017, came over from the House this morning. During Leader remarks, Senator McConnell began the rule 14 process. This process would bypass committee and place it directly on the Calendar of Business on the next Legislative Day. This is a procedural motion to place the bill on the Legislative Calendar of Business, it does not mean he will move to it on the next Legislative Day. However, it would be available for a motion to proceed once it is on the Calendar of Business.
