12:30pm Cloture vote on Aponte nomination, upon reconsideration
The Senate has reached an agreement to reconsider the failed cloture vote on the nomination of Executive Calendar #501, the nomination of Mari Carmen Aponte, of the District of Columbia, to be Ambassador to the Republic of El Salvador.
At 12:00pm, there will be 30 minutes for debate equally divided prior to a vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Aponte nomination, upon reconsideration. Senators should expect the vote to begin at approximately 12:30pm.
