Agreement on Long nomination / Cloture filed on Mandelker, and Billingslea nominations

The Senate reached an agreement to vote on confirmation of Brock Long, to be Administrator of FEMA, at approximately 5:30pm on Monday and Senator McConnell filed cloture on the Mandelker and Billingslea nominations under the Department of the Treasury.

The pending business is Executive Calendar #97, Marshall Billingslea, to be Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing, Department of the Treasury.

Agreement on FEMA Administrator nomination

At 5:00pm on Monday, June 19th, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of Executive Calendar #108, the nomination of Brock Long, of North Carolina, to be Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. There will be up to 30 minutes for debate equally divided prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination.

Senator McConnell filed cloture on the following Treasury nominations:

  1. Executive Calendar #94, Sigal Mandelker, of New York, to be Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Crimes.
  2. Executive Calendar #97, Marshall Billingslea, of Virginia, to be Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing, Department of the Treasury.
