Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #157, Patrick M. Shanahan, of Washington, to be Deputy Secretary of Defense, post-cloture. By consent, at 12:00 noon, there will be 15 minutes of post-cloture debate remaining, equally divided, followed by a vote on confirmation of the nomination.
Following disposition of the Shanahan nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

- Confirmation of Executive Calendar #157, Patrick M. Shanahan, of Washington, to be Deputy Secretary of Defense.
As a reminder, cloture has also been filed on Executive Calendar #170, John Kenneth Bush, of Kentucky, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit and on Executive Calendar #100, David Bernhardt, of Virginia, to be Deputy Secretary of the Interior. The cloture motions will ripen one hour after the Senate convenes on Wednesday, in the order filed.
