Consideration of West nomination expected today

The Senate is in a period of morning business until 11:00am. Following morning business, the Senate will resume consideration of S.1243, the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill. Senator Murray will continue to work through the amendments with Senator Collins.

We also hope to vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #186, the nomination of Derek West, of California, to be Associate Attorney General, today. Under the previous order, there will be up to 1 hour for debate equally divided in the usual form. Upon the use or yielding back of time, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination.
