Cloture not invoked on Iran nuclear agreement resolution of disapproval and cloture filed on it again
Cloture was not invoked on McConnell amendment #2640 (Iran nuclear agreement resolution of disapproval) to H.J.Res. 61 by a vote of 58-42.
Senator McConnell withdrew the cloture motion on the underlying legislative vehicle, H.J.Res. 61.
Senator McConnell then filed cloture on the same amendment, McConnell substitute amendment #2640, Iran resolution of disapproval, and the underlying legislative vehicle, H.J.Res.61.
The cloture vote on the McConnell substitute amendment is expected to occur at 6:00pm on Tuesday, September 15.
Another message will be sent when the next vote is scheduled.
