The Senate stands adjourned until 9:30am on Thursday, September 18, 2014.
Following the prayer and pledge, the Senate will recess subject to the call of the Chair. When the Senate reconvenes, following any Leader remarks, it will be in a period of morning business until 1:00pm, with the time equally divided and controlled between the two Leaders or their designees, with the Republicans controlling the first half and the Majority controlling the final half.
At 1:00pm, the Senate will proceed to consideration of H.J.Res.124, the continuing resolution. There will be up to 4.5 hours of debate prior to a series of roll call votes. Senators should expect that series to begin at approximately 5:30pm.
As a reminder, at 10:00am, His Excellency Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine, will address a Joint Meeting of Congress from the Hall of the House of Representatives in the U.S. Capitol. Senators should begin to gather in the Senate Chamber at 9:30am to depart at 9:40am for the procession to the Hall of the House.
