Motion to discharge S.J.Res.39 now pending; roll call vote expected at approx. 2:15pm

On behalf of Senator Paul, Senator Murphy made a motion to discharge the Foreign Relations Committee from further consideration of S.J.Res.39, relating to the disapproval of the proposed foreign military sale to the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of M1A1/A2 Abrams Tank structures and other major defense equipment.

By consent, there will now be up to 3 hours of debate equally divided between the proponents and opponents, with Senator Paul controlling 30 minutes of proponent time and Senator Murphy controlling 15 minutes of proponent time. Following the use or yielding back of time - at approximately 2:15pm - the Senate will vote in relation to the motion to discharge.
