Senate requests conference on FARM Act; appoints conferees

The Senate disagreed in the House amendment to H.R. 2642, the Federal Agriculture Reform and Risk Management Act of 2013; insisted on its amendment; requested a conference with the House on the disagreeing votes of the two Houses; and authorized the Chair to appoint conferees with a ratio of 7:5 on the part of the Senate.

The following senators were appointed as conferees on the FARM Act:

-          Stabenow;

-          Leahy;

-          Harkin;

-          Baucus;

-          Brown;

-          Klobuchar;

-          Bennet;

-          Cochran;

-          Chambliss;

-          Roberts;

-          Boozman; and

-          Hoeven.
