NDAA conference report adopted / motion to proceed to Energy and Water approps pending

By a vote of 70-27, the Senate adopted the conference report to accompany H.R.1735, NDAA.

Following the vote, Senator McConnell moved to proceed to Calendar #96 H.R. 2028, Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2016. As a reminder, yesterday he filed cloture on the motion to proceed. That cloture vote will occur at a time to be determined tomorrow, Thursday, October 8. If no agreement can be reached, the vote would occur 1 hour after the Senate convenes. Another message will be sent when the vote is scheduled.
