H.R.2577, THUD appropriations
By a vote of 91-6, cloture was invoked on the compound motion to go to conference on S.1177, ESEA. The Senate then voice voted the motion and appointed the full HELP committee members as conferees.
The Senate then began consideration of H.R. 2577, THUD appropriations. The committee reported substitute was withdrawn and Senator Collins offered Collins-Reed amendment #2812 (substitute) and then in the first degree slot she offered Collins amendment #2813 (date change).
