MTP to H.R.3762, Reconciliation bill, agreed to; substitute amendment offered

Senator McConnell moved to proceed to Calendar #299, H.R.3762 (reconciliation bill) and the Senate agreed to the motion by voice vote. He then offered amendment #2874 (substitute). Under the rules governing reconciliation, there are up to 20 hours of debate equally divided.

The Senate is now considering H.R.3762 for debate only during the remainder of today's session.
