Senate Floor Schedule For Saturday, December 19, 2009
- The Senate will convene at 6:45AM and will resume consideration of the House Message to accompany H.R.3326, Department of Defense Appropriations Act. The time until 7:20am will be equally divided and controlled between the two Leaders or their designees, with the final 10 minutes reserved for the Leaders with the Majority Leader controlling the final 5 minutes.
- The Senate is now considering H.R.3590, Health Care Reform. Senator Reid offered amendment #3276 (Managers' amendment) to Reid Substitute amendment #2786. The Clerk is currently reading the amendment. At approximately 4:00pm, Senator Reid filed cloture on the Reid-Baucus-Dodd-Harkin amendment #3276, the Reid substitute amendment #2786, and H.R.3590, Health Care Reform.
- For the remainder of the day, the Senate will consider H.R.3590, for debate only.
