Americans Respond To Republican Support Of Status Quo For Health Insurance

Washington, DC— Today the Senate Democratic Communications Center (SDCC) released video interviews with citizens responding to the Republican Senate leadership’s support for the status quo health insurance system.  With costs skyrocketing and people demanding solutions, Democrats have worked in a meaningful and bipartisan manner to reform health insurance with no cooperation the Senate Republican leadership.  

“While 14,000 Americans lose their health insurance every day because of our broken system, the Republican party seems content with the status quo,” said SDCC Staff Director, Rodell Mollineau.  “The citizens who were featured in this video are like millions of other Americans who know that the status quo is unacceptable and unsustainable.  Obstruct, deny and delay are not only failed tactics, but are serious distractions from providing reform for a chronically ill health insurance system.”
While some brave Republicans have worked across the aisle to find common ground, the Republican leadership has stalled and delayed progress.  Americans can be seen responding to the Republican plan for doing nothing and keeping the status quo at The Democratic plan for real reform for the health insurance system can be seen at
