By a vote of 94-4, cloture was invoked on the FAA substitute. There will now be up to 30 hours of post-cloture debate. If there is no further debate, there is a chance we vote on passage as early as 1:30pm today. Negotiations continue for the consideration of additional amendments.

Cloture filed on MTP to H.R.2028, Energy and Water Approps

This morning, Senator McConnell moved to proceed to Calendar #96, H.R.2028, Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2016.   The cloture motion would ripen on the second legislative day or upon disposition of H.R.636, FAA Reauthorization, whichever is later. We continue to work on an agreement on FAA.
