The Senate has reached an agreement to vote on confirmation of the Coats and McMaster nominations at 1:45pm today and on confirmation of the Breyer and Reeves nominations at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 21. Senators should expect 2 roll call votes at 1:45pm today and the next roll call vote to be at noon on Tuesday. On Tuesday, we expect to have one roll call vote to confirm both the Breyer and Reeves nominations either by consent to confirm both by roll call or voice vote one and roll call the other.

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #23, Daniel Coats, of Indiana, to be Director of Intelligence
  2. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #19 Lt Gen. Herbert McMaster to be Lieutenant General (Army)

 

12:00 noon Tuesday—1 roll call expected:

 

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #21 – Charles R. Breyer, of California, to be a Member of the United States Sentencing Commission
  2. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #22 – Danny C. Reeves, of Kentucky, to be a Member of the United States Sentencing Commission

 

Under the agreement following morning business on Tuesday, March 21, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session for the en bloc consideration of the following nominations:

 

Executive Calendar #21 – Charles R. Breyer, of California, to be a Member of the United States Sentencing Commission

Executive Calendar #22 – Danny C. Reeves, of Kentucky, to be a Member of the United States Sentencing Commission

 

The time until 12:00 noon will be equally divided and controlled in the usual form. At 12:00 noon, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nominations en bloc with no intervening action or debate. As stated earlier, we expect one roll call vote at noon on Tuesday.
