Cloture was invoked on the Gingrich nomination by a vote of 75-20. The next roll call vote will be on confirmation of the Gingrich nomination at 5:30pm on Monday, October 16.

During the next work period, the Senate may consider the FY 2018 Budget resolution, an emergency supplemental appropriations, nominations, CHIP and any other items cleared for action on the Legislative or Executive Calendars of Business.
