Cloture filed on Palk and McFadden nominations
Senator McConnell has filed
cloture on the following nominations:
- Executive
Calendar #117, Scott L. Palk, of Oklahoma, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Oklahoma; and
- Executive Calendar #179, Trevor N. McFadden, of Virginia, to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.
We expect the first cloture
vote to occur Wednesday morning. If cloture is invoked, there would be up to 30
hours of debate prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination. Upon
disposition of the Palk nomination, there would be a cloture vote on the
McFadden nomination. If cloture is invoked, there would be up to 30 hours of
debate prior to a vote on confirmation.
We could see consideration of
the CFPB resolution of disapproval as early as tomorrow. There would be up to
10 hours of debate on the resolution of disapproval.
