The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #533, Leonard Steven Grasz, of Nebraska, to be US Circuit Judge for the Eighth Circuit, post-cloture. A vote on confirmation is expected during Tuesday’s session.
The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
As a reminder, Senator McConnell has also filed cloture on the following nominations:
1. Executive Calendar #534, Don R. Willett, of Texas, to be a US Circuit Judge for the Fifth Circuit; and
2. Executive Calendar #535, James C. Ho, of Texas, to be US Circuit Judge for the Fifth Circuit.
Each nomination is subject to a cloture vote and then, if cloture is invoked, up to 30 hours of post-cloture debate prior to a vote on confirmation. Upon disposition of the first nomination, there would be a cloture vote on the next nomination in the series and then, if cloture is invoked, up to 30 hours of debate.
