Agreement to vote on Newstead nomination (State)

The Senate has reached an agreement that at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader, the Senate proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of Executive Calendar #430, Jennifer Gillian Newstead, to be Legal Adviser of the Department of State. There will be 10 minutes of debate equally divided followed by a vote on confirmation of the nomination.

That vote is expected to occur sometime next week.
