Cloture filed on February 8th CR

The motion to table the motion to refer was tabled by a vote of 55-44.

By voice vote, the Senate tabled the motion to concur with an amendment.

Senator McConnell then moved to concur in the House amendment with a further amendment (Feb. 8 CR/CHIP) and filed cloture on the motion. He then asked that the Senate immediately vote on cloture. Senator Schumer objected.

If no agreement can be reached, the cloture vote would occur one hour after the Senate convenes on Monday.

Senator McConnell then moved to refer the bill to the Committee on Appropriations.

There was then a series of unanimous consent requests that were objected to. Those requests will be sent in the next email.

Senator McConnell made the following schedule announcement.

MR. McCONNELL: FOR THE INFORMATION OF ALL OUR COLLEAGUES, THE
SENATE WILL CONVENE AT 12 NOON TOMORROW. IT'S MY HOPE THAN AN
AGREEMENT CAN BE REACHED. WE'LL BE HERE IN SESSION TOMORROW
WORKING TO FINALLY RESOLVE THE WAY FORWARD. SENATORS SHOULD

EXPECT VOTES TOMORROW. I SUGGEST THE ABSENCE OF A QUORUM.
