The Senate stands adjourned
until 11:30am on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.
Following Leader remarks, the
Senate will resume consideration of the House Message on H.R.695, Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2018. The
filing deadline for first degree amendments to the message is 1:00pm on
Wednesday, February 7th. If cloture is invoked, amendments must be
germane and timely filed to be considered in order post-cloture. If no
agreement is reached, the cloture vote would occur one hour after the Senate
convenes on Thursday.
We expect to receive a
message from the House on the House Defense/CR bill (HR 1892) on Wednesday, and
we expect it to be the vehicle used for any CR/caps deal.
