The Senate stands
adjourned until 9:30am on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
Following leader
remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Calendar
#287, S.2155, Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act.
The post-cloture time on substitute amendment #2151 will expire at 3:45pm and
the Senate will vote on adoption of the amendment. There will then be an
immediate cloture vote on the underlying bill, S.2155, as amended. If cloture
is invoked on the bill, it will be as if invoked at 12:00am on Wednesday.
We
expect to recess for the all-senators briefing at 4:30pm.
As
a reminder, cloture has also been filed on Executive Calendar #598, the
nomination of Kevin K. McAleenan, of Hawaii, to be Commissioner of U.S.
Protection, Department of Homeland Security. The cloture vote on the McAleenan
nomination will occur upon disposition of S.2155.
