The Senate stands adjourned until 9:30am on Thursday, May 24.
 
Following Leader remarks tomorrow, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #670 and #672, Jelena McWilliams, of Ohio, to be Chairperson and Member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
 
At 12:00 noon, there will be a series of votes on confirmation of the McWilliams nominations, cloture on the Evans (Amb. to Luxembourg). If cloture is invoked on the Evans nomination, at 1:45pm there will be a vote on confirmation.

1.      Confirmation of Executive Calendar #670, Jelena McWilliams, of Ohio, to be Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; and
2.      Confirmation of Executive Calendar #672, Jelena McWilliams, of Ohio, to be Member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Insurance Deposit Corporation.
3.      Cloture on
 
1:45pm – 1 roll call vote
4.      Confirmation of Executive Calendar #618, James Rudolph Evans, of Georgia, to be Ambassador to Luxembourg.
 
 
Agreement of Marcus nomination
At a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader, the Senate will proceed to Executive session for the consideration of the following nomination: Executive Calendar #603, Exec. Cal. #603 - Kenneth L. Marcus, of Virginia, to be Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, Department of Education.
 

There will be 10 hours of debate equally divided in the usual form and that following the use or yielding back of time the Senate vote on the nomination with no intervening action or debate; that if confirmed, the motion to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table; the President be immediately notified of the Senate’s action, that no further motions be in order, and that any statements relating to the nomination be printed in the Record.
