The Senate
stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, June 7.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive
Session to consider Executive Calendar #603, Kenneth L. Marcus, of Virginia, to
be Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, Department of Education, with the time
until 12:30pm equally divided.
At 12:30pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the
nomination.
Cloture
was filed on the motion to proceed to H.R. 5515, National Defense Authorization
Act (NDAA). With consent, we could see the cloture vote at 1:45pm tomorrow. If
no agreement can be reached, the cloture vote would be one hour after the Senate
convenes on Friday.
